Sealed quote/bid proposals will be received by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, by mail in the office of the City Controller, Room 217, 2nd floor, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, or in person in the City Clerk’s Office, 1st floor of the Municipal Office Center, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, until:
3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Public Meeting Room of the aforesaid Municipal Office Center.
Quote/Bid documents, including drawings and project manual contract documents, including instructions to bidders form, agreement and specifications may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website by BidNet Connect, located at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on Thursday, March 31, 2022. All bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of Port Huron via MITN.
If deemed necessary – depending on project cost estimates, a certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid in excess of $50,000. No quotes may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All quotes must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose.
The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all quotes or bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the same, and to accept any quote or bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City’s interests. The successful company will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates if the project is over the threshold amount and as required by the City.
All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders. Contractor must comply with the City of Port Huron Uniform City Income Tax Ordinance.
