Request for Bid forms will be received in a sealed envelope by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, by mail or in person in the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, 48060, until 3:00 p.m. on February 12, 2025 and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read in a public meeting room of the aforesaid Municipal Office Center.
The product shall contain a minimum of 21% Sodium Hydroxide, by weight. Specific gravity of the product shall range between 1.22 and 1.27 at 60 degrees F. Chemical impurities shall be analyzed, stated on a product specification sheet, and submitted with the bid.
Additionally, please provide a written statement from your chemical or material supplier(s) stating that PFAS substances are not present in the material or chemical formulation of your product(s) and are not formed during manufacturing. Include any sample testing results to verify statement.
Shipments shall be delivered by bulk tanker truck to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 100 Merchant Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060. Receipt of deliveries shall be made during normal business hours (Monday thru Friday, 7am to 3pm). Maximum quantities to be delivered in a single truckload cannot exceed 5,000 gallons. The net weight of the material shall not deviate by more that 2.5 % (+/-) from the scale weight of the tanker.
Shipments shall conform to current D.O.T. regulations and be delivered in thoroughly clean tanker trucks. Delivery equipment must be able to off-load against a 12-foot positive head. Hoses and fittings for off-loading shall be supplied by the transporter. Terms are net 30 days from date of delivery. Prices are to be based on full truckload quantities, F.O.B. Wastewater Treatment Plant. Delivery shall be completed within 72 hours of placement of order. Price quoted is to be firm for a period of one year from date of award.
