ITB-RH-13-001 - Grant Pump Station Replacement Project

Summary of Specifications:
Project is to provide a new sanitary pump station to replace the existing pump station located on the same site. The new pump station will include 3 submersible pumps in a wet well, with a separate below-grade valve vault. The new pumps are designed to handle solids better so screening will not be necessary. A new weather-tight cabinet will be installed to house the controls for the station. A new natural-gas emergency generator will be installed. The existing pump station will remain in operation until the new pump station is completed. Temporary by-pass pumping will be necessary, mainly when the connection to the existing force main is made. The existing pump station wet-well and building will be demolished after the new station is operational. Site improvements include replacing the asphalt drive, new concrete paving surrounding the access hatches, control panel andother equipment, grading, landscaping and restoration. The contractor shall maintain local traffic at all times. Road closure signs shall be provided and installed by the Contractor if required and be in accordance with the specifications.
