Summary of Specifications:
The City of Romulus, Michigan is seeking proposals from qualified pyrotechnic display contractors to provide and execute the 2016 City of Romulus Community Fireworks Display. The display shall be fired at dusk on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from the land fill area of the City owned property, accessed from Ecorse Road and located between Ecorse Road and Wick Road The successful proposer shall furnish all labor, fireworks, transportation, and other equipment materials necessary for the firing of the display. The contracted cost of the show shall be approximately $12,500. (1) Qualified firms wishing to submit proposals must use the forms provided by the City. RFP forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (2) One original and two (2) copies of the proposal (appropriately marked) must be submitted in a sealed envelope and delivered to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30 P.M., local time, Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed using the proposal label provided herein. (3) At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received proposals are to be publicly opened and read. (4) The City reserves the right to reject all proposals and to waive irregularities. (4) The City reserves the right to postpone the opening without notification and also reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to waive irregularities. (5) Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the published date for submitting proposals. (6) The successful Company shall be required to comply with all local, state and Federal regulations concerning the storage and use of fireworks and for obtaining any and all required permits. (7) The successful Company will be required to submit proof of all insurance required by the RFP documents and all required endorsements.
