Summary of Specifications:
(1) The City of Romulus Department of Public Works is requesting bids to establish a contract for delivered pricing for concrete on an as needed basis for 2016 and 2017. In order to provide efficient delivery of material to crews working on-site and also provide material within the temperature requirement as established by the Michigan Department of Transportation for P1 Concrete Pavement, the concrete plant of suppliers submitting a bid must be located within a 5 mile radius of the City of Romulus, Department of Public Works Building located at 12600 Wayne Road, Romulus, Michigan. (2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit bids must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (3) Two (2) copies of the bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30, Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed using the Bid package label provided herein. (4) At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read. (5) The City reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to waive irregularities.
