Summary of Specifications:
The City of Romulus is soliciting proposals from experienced and highly qualified firms to provide and to assist with the installation of the System thru a qualified up-fitter of a new fully integrated body camera/patrol vehicle dashboard camera solution for police officers, as well as its related management system. The proposals from vendors will need to include a lump sum cost for twenty-one (21) chest cameras, twenty-one (21) dashboard camera’s, at least three (3) outdoor wireless access points, all associated software, hardware, and licensing and a rack-mount server with a minimum of 10TB storage, for the City of Romulus Police Department. Optional pricing is being requested for two (2) computer workstations which sufficient graphics capability for annotating videos. (1) An award from this contract is expected to result in a firm, fixed, lump sum price contract for the purchase, installation or installation assistance with, training and configuration of said solution. The solution should include one year warranty and maintenance for five years (minimum); cover software upgrades and hardware failure (if applicable); and have an optional pricing to extend maintenance beyond the original 5 year contract term. The successful Proposer will also be required to provide a training plan for the administrator role and user training for identified City Staff and shall include the cost of the training plan in their proposal. All required instruction manuals, qualified instructors cost, and travel and lodging costs for instructors and class materials shall be furnished by the Proposer and included in the lump sum proposal price. (2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit proposals must use the forms provided by the City. All required copies of proposals should be submitted in one sealed envelope and addressed using the proposal package label provided in the RFP documents. Proposal must be received in the City of Romulus Clerk's Office no later than 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 8, 2016. (3) Specifications and RFP documents may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (4) At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received proposals are to be publicly opened and receipt of proposals acknowledged. (5) The City reserves the right to reject all proposals and to waive irregularities.
