Summary of Specifications:
Bid No. 09/10-42 Harrison Road and Hildebrandt Road Paving City of Romulus Tax Increment Finance Authority
Sealed Bids for Harrison Road and Hildebrandt Road Paving will be received at the office of the City of Romulus until 2:00 pm local time, on April 20, 2010, by the office of the City Clerk located at 11111 Wayne Road, Romulus, MI 48174. The approximate quantities of major items of work involved are as follows:
34,000 square yards of pavement removal, 3,500 feet of county drain cleanout, 6,800 lineal feet of storm sewer sized 12 to 36 inch, 5,100 feet of ductile iron water main sized 8 to 16 inch, 32,000 square yards 8” 21AA aggregate base, 36,000 square yards 9 inch non-reinforced concrete pavement with integral curb, 2 concrete box culverts – 192 feet (6’ x 4’) and 75 feet (8’ x 4’), and 38,000 square yards of slope restoration.

Copies thereof may be obtained on or after 2:00 pm, local time, March 30, 2010, at the office of the ENGINEER, Orchard, Hiltz & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150. A fee of Ninety dollars ($90.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents. An additional fee of Fifteen dollars ($15.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents that are mailed. Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid. The OWNER reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any Bid, or waive irregularities in Bids. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids.
