Summary of Specifications:
The City of Romulus, Michigan is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the painting of longitudinal pavement markings. The pavement markings shall be sprayable waterborne pavement marking materials applied on bituminous or concrete surfaces. Markings shall be either white or yellow in the lengths and widths specified in this bid documents or as directed by the Department of Public Works Director or the Assistant Director. This work covers the furnishing and application of the sprayable waterborne pavement markings as per section 811 of the 2003 MDOT Standard Specification for Highway Construction, the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the bid documents.
Pricing shall be based on the application of approximately: • 320,390 lineal feet of sprayable waterborne 4” solid white, pavement marking • 1,000 lineal feet of sprayable waterborne 4” skip white, pavement marking • 25,000 lineal feet of sprayable waterborne 4” solid yellow pavement marking • 190,819 sprayable waterborne 4” skip yellow, pavement marking
Unit pricing shall include all costs including but not limited to: • Surface preparation • Materials and application of materials • Equipment mobilization costs • Traffic control costs • Bid preparation, insurance and bond costs
