Summary of Specifications:
INVITATION TO BID CITY OF ROMULUS ITB 12/13-35 - SANITARY SEWER REPAIRS
Sealed bids for above listed project will be received at the City of Romulus, Clerk's Office, located at 11111 Wayne Road, Romulus, MI 48174 until 2:00 pm local time, on April 25, 2013. The approximate work involved is as follows: Various sanitary sewer repairs at 44 locations city wide, including grouting, lining, and structure adjustments.
The contract documents for this project are on file and may be examined at the office of the City's Engineer, Orchard, Hiltz, & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150 and the City of Romulus Clerk's Office , 11111 Wayne Road, Romulus, MI 48174. Copies of the contract documents may be acquired from the offices of the City's Engineer for a fee of forty dollars ($40.00) for each set of contract documents. An additional fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged for each set of contract documents that are mailed. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid will be required with each Bid. The City of Romulus reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any bid, or waive irregularities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the bids.
No pre-bid meetings are scheduled for this project. Neither the submission of nor acceptance of any bid shall constitute a contract between any bidder and the City of Romulus. No such contract shall exist unless and until an Agreement is signed by authorized representatives of the City of Romulus and the successful bidder; provided, however, that each bidder’s obligations and liabilities with respect to their Bid Guarantee, Bid Bond, and other applicable bonds and guarantees.
