Summary of Specifications:
The City of Romulus, Dept. of Public Works is soliciting bids from State of Michigan Authorized Class "A´Dealer"s for the purchase of a 39,000# GVW 4 X 2 SINGLE REAR AXLE TRUCK CHASSIS with dump body and hoist, salt spreader, scraper and snow plow. The unit and associated equipment shall be furnished complete and ready for use, all as more fully required by the terms of these specifications and in strict accordance therewith. The unit and all equipment shall be the manufacturer's latest current published stock model(s) that meets the requirements of these specifications. The vendor shall submit with its bid all the brochures, drawings, and technical information necessary for a complete product evaluation. In an effort to minimize City of Romulus employee's time of delivery and pick-up time, and to minimize the out-of-service time of the unit, to obtain warranty work and/or minor and major repairs that may be required during the life of this vehicle, all bidders and subcontractors (i.e. body, spreaders, plow, etc.) suppliers are required to have a parts and repair facility with factory authorized trained technicians located within fifty (50) miles of the City of Romulus Maintenance Facility. Bidder shall attach a complete proposal that details the vehicle that is being bid and built per the bid specification herein along with all forms provided by the City. The written proposal shall be titled, "ITB 14/15-23 6/7 DUMP TRUCK - VEHICLE QUOTE" Identifying, make and model numbers of bid equipment and installation detail as deemed appropriate to specifications. If exceptions are not identified or taken it is understood that vendor shall provide the equipment in exact detail as listed in this bid.
