Summary of Specifications:
CITY OF ROMULUS INVITATION TO BID ITB 13/14-22 TWO (2) ONE TON DUMP TRUCKS Opening: June 2, 2014 (1) The City of Romulus, Department of Public Works is seeking bids from qualified vendors to purchase two 2015 or current model year, 13,5000 G.V.W.R. chassis cab with nine foot, 2.5-3.5 cubic yard dump body. The City, because of budgetary constraints, may elect to only purchase one vehicle. Any discount being offered by the vendor to the City if the City elects to purchase both vehicles should be reflected in the area provided on the bid pricing sheet. The specifications are based upon a GMC Sierra 3500HD 4WD, Regular Cab 137.5" WB, 59.8 CA WT Truck. The specifications are not intended to be exclusionary but are given to establish the guidelines and minimum requirements to which the features of all vehicles bid by vendors must meet or exceed. Optional pricing is being requested for snowplow attachments. (2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit a bid must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained from the MITN system @ http://www.mitn.info/. (3) Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2014. At approximately 2:45 p.m., local time all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read.
