Summary of Specifications:
(1) The City of Romulus is seeking bids from vendors for one (1) Super Duty Truck (specifications based upon a Ford F-350 XLT Super Duty Truck)and one (1) SUV (specifications based upon a Ford Explorer XLT) for the City of Romulus Fire Department. The following specifications are based upon a Ford F-350 XLT Super Duty Truck and a Ford Explorer XLT. The department will consider bids for other model years but vehicle cost and availability is of the utmost importance to the department. The Super Duty truck be up-fitted with a 300 U.S. gallon skid mounted utility unit for the purpose of transporting water, in many cases, off road by the department to emergency scenes that do not have an available water sources. (2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit bids must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (3) Two (2) copies of the bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30, Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed using the Bid package label provided herein. (4) At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read. (5) The City reserves the right to reject all bids and proposals and to waive irregularities.
