Summary of Specifications:
CITY OF ROMULUS RFP 13/14-02, WATER METER TESTING AND CALIBRATION CONTRACT
The City of Romulus, Department of Public Works, is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for water meter testing and calibration within their corporate limits. The sample water customers range in the top consumers in the industrial and commercial categories.
The RFP contains location maps and a listing which includes the customer name, address and meter details for the sample group. The City reserves the right, subsequent to the review of proposals, to reduce or prioritize the customer group due to unit prices bid based on budgeting constraints
The successful bidder must be readily available to carry out terms of the Contract and the City of Romulus shall have first priority of meter testing. Failure to comply with standards specified by the City constitutes a breach of Contract. All work for testing and recalibration of meters shall be completed within 90 days of the signed agreement, unless written consent of an extension of time has been filed with the Department of Public Works, Assistant Director and approved by the City.
(1) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit proposals must use the forms provided by the City. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info.
(2) Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, August 21, 2013. At approximately 2:15, local time all timely received proposals are to be publicly opened and read.
