City of Romulus REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL RFP 13/14-15 UPFITTING FOR SIX FORD POLICE VEHICLES Public Opening: March 27, 2014 (1) The City of Romulus, Michigan is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to have six new patrol vehicles converted for use by the Department of Public Safety. The City will require the successful Contractor to remove useable equipment from existing fleet vehicles (five 2009 Dodge Chargers) and install that equipment along with new equipment into one (1) 2014 AWD Ford Sedan Interceptor W/ Eco-Boost and five (5) new 2014 Ford Utility Interceptors w/ Eco-Boost converted for service. It is the desire of the City to place the new vehicles into service as soon as possible.
(2) Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit a proposal must use the forms provided by the City. Proposal forms and specifications may be obtained by visiting the MITN system @ www.mitn.info. (3) Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:30, Thursday, March 27, 2014. At approximately 2:45, local time all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read.
