Summary of Specifications:
CITY OF ROMULUS BID 11/12-14, Romulus Ordinance Department, THREE (3) YEAR WEED CUTTING CONTRACT The City of Romulus is seeking to enter into a three (3) year contractual services agreement with a qualified company for the purpose of weed cutting. No bid will be considered from any bidder unless known to be skilled and regularly engaged in work of a character similar to the covered by the Contract Documents. Three (3) year terms with option to renew for one (1) or two (2) additional years. The contract price shall remain in effect for a period of three (3) years to commence July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014. SCOPE OF WORK: Cutting season shall begin around the first week of May and end around the last week in October. Each cutting season shall consist of approximately four cuttings or as directed by the Director of the Ordinance Department. The Contractor shall mow or cut all lots and parcels to the road or curb lines and remove all debris from within the cutting areas as directed by the Director of the Ordinance Department or its authorized agent. Qualified individuals and firms wishing to submit bids must use the forms provided by the City. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and returned to the City Clerk's Office no later than 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2012. At approximately 2:15, local time all timely received bids are to be publicly opened and read.
