Notice to Subcontractors
Colasanti Construction Service, Inc./O’Brien Construction Company, Inc. a Joint Venture is the
Construction Manager for the construction of the new City of Royal Oak Police Station. The Construction Manager will receive proposals up to 12:00pm., local time, March 14, 2019 for the following trades from qualified bidders at the Royal Oak City Hall located at 211 Williams Street, Royal Oak, MI, 3rd Floor Finance Office. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope (There is no mandatory bid form).
Note, some of the below trades were originally bid on January 29, 2019. The City of Royal Oak requires that (3) bids be received for each bid category. If you submitted pricing already for the above referenced project, it is required that you re-submit pricing as part of this re-bid effort. Please review entire RFP to ensure all bids include required prevailing wages and 5% bid security.

Project Description
This project consists of the construction of a new 60,000SF Public Police Station Building. This new
building consists of a Basement, 1st Floor, and 2nd Floor. Exterior Construction is masonry, cast
stone/limestone, metal panel assemblies, and glass windows/storefronts. Interior Construction is
standard metal stud construction, millwork, finishes, ACT/Gypsum ceilings, detention equipment, water
pipe fire suppression systems, dry chemical suppression system, plumbing systems to support
bathrooms, forced air HVAC assemblies, standard electrical distribution and lighting systems, and fire
alarm systems.
Rights of the Owner
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and the right waive defects in proposals.
Bid Guarantee and Contract Security
A 5% Bid Bond or Certified Cashier Check in amount equal to 5% of bid total are required to be submitted with your proposal.
Award and Execution of Contract
It is the intent to award the Contract to a single lowest responsible bidder, provided the bid is reasonable and the best interest of the City will be served by accepting it.
The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to execute the CM’s Contract and to furnish all bonds and certificates of insurance within ten (10) business days after receiving written notice of the award. If bidder fails to execute and provide the aforementioned then the Contract may be awarded to another bidder.
