NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
Sealed proposals will be received by the Finance Department of the City of Royal Oak, 211 S.
Williams Street, Michigan, up to 10:00 a.m., local time, Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at which
time all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Normandy Oaks Park Development
– Phase 1 Contract CAPNOAK. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment,
and incidental items but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the
following major items of work:
- Shared Use Path Grading and HMA Paving
- Playscape Installation
- Machine Grading
- Concrete Sidewalk and Curb and Gutter
- Park Pavilion / Picnic Shelter Installation
- Storm Drain Improvements
- Water Main and Sanitary Sewer Improvements
- Soccer Field Installation
TIME OF STARTING AND COMPLETING
The work to be done under this Contract is to begin on or after April 1, 2019 unless the
City shall, in writing, authorize a further delay and the work shall be prosecuted diligently
thereafter.
All proposed concrete and asphalt paving work shall be complete by or before October
11, 2019. All other contract work, excepting any final restoration shall be completed by
December 20, 2019. All final landscaping and restoration work and any remaining
cleanup work shall be completed by May 24, 2020. Landscaping shall not begin until
after September 2, 2019. Refer to General Conditions section 6.04 for details regarding
extension of contract time.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 30, 2019, 10:00am, at the Royal Oak Golf
Club, located at 3917 Don Soper, Royal Oak, MI, followed by a site visit, immediately following
the meeting.
