Summary of Specifications:
This request for proposals covers contract labor and service for electrical work in the City of Southfield. The City's Facilities Maintenance Department maintains the physical plant in 54 buildings and structures (865,804 square feet total). The City has one staff Electrician, and is looking for an Electrical Contractor who has a minimum of five (5) years contract experience and who has sufficient permanent staff to provide maintenance, emergency repairs, and new construction as the needs of the City dictate. Experience with municipal or educational facilities is preferred. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, and services required by the manager of Facilities Maintenance or his/her designate to complete the work as service and emergency work as needed and subject to the conditions of the specifications as given to the Contractor.
