Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield is seeking qualification statements on behalf of the Southfield Non-Profit Housing Corporation (SNPH) for the purpose of hiring a full service, on-call architectural firm to meet its needs. The successful company should have experience working with Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), HUD Section 236 and 202 funding sources as well as in the following areas: retrofitting parts of existing buildings; building expansion; capital replacement of equipment and parts of structures; evaluation on maintenance and smaller capital needs for equipment replacement, small renovations, repairs and special projects. Evaluations, studies, advice and recommendations on an ongoing basis may be required. All architectural disciplines could be required as well. The SNPH owns 445 apartment units and 62 townhomes as described in Attachment A. The successful company (ies) will be required to enter into a contract with and provide insurance acceptable to the SNPH. A copy of these requirements has been included under Attachment B. The contract will be for a two (2) year period with an option to renew for an additional one year period. The SNPH reserves the right to contract with one or more companies, if that action is deemed to be in its best interest.
