RFP-14-009 - Uninterruptible Power Supply

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Southfield, MI is a provider of multiple services to more than 78,000 residents and the surrounding communities. The City of Southfield has an immediate need for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Services for backup power requirements. The city currently has UPSes that are approaching end-of-support. These UPSes are supporting critical equipment and services for city operations. The project consists of the following required services: 

Replace and dispose of 29 UPSes in IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) Closets 

Allow for remote monitoring via web cards. 

Ensure equipment has an initial three (3) year warranty and provide pricing for up to five (5) years. 

Offer “Green” solutions to cut energy consumption 

Assign a Project Manager (PM) to manage this not-to-exceed budget and monitor the installation of the UPSes. 

Due to the complexity of UPS specifications, the city is seeking responses from UPS resellers of APC products only; no brand substitutions will be allowed. Licensed UPS personnel must be assigned for the installation and understand electrical requirements for all equipment installed.
