- Introduction
The City of Southgate Police Department is seeking bids for the replacement of new duty firearms that will be equipped with red dot sights, and weapon mounted gun lights. This project will involve replacing our current department duty firearms and equipping them with red dot sights and weapon mounted gun lights. Bids will be due on January 26th, 2024 in a sealed envelope clearly marked:

- Scope of Work
The City of Southgate is seeking a company to outfit our police department with the following:
- 45 Glock Model G45 MOS Gen 5 handguns
- 45 Holosun 509T-RD X2 handgun red dot sights
- 45 C&H Precision V4 MIL/LEO adapter Holosun 509T optic mounting plates (steel) which will fit Glock MOS model handguns
- 45 sets of Ameriglo (GL-691 – 3XL Tall Green Tritium LumiGreen Outline, .365 Front, Flat Black .451 Rear) back up iron sights
- 45 Streamlight TLR-1 HL weapon light (1000 lumens). The new weapon system will replace the current duty firearm which is issued to sworn officers

SECTION 1 – GENERAL INFORMATION
SCOPE AND PURPOSE
This project is located at the Southgate Police Department and consists outfitting the department with new firearms that can be equipped with red dot sights and weapon mounted lights that will provide officers a weapon system that will improve threat focused awareness, marksmanship capabilities, and improve the officers capabilities to operate their weapon system in low-light environments.
This project will include the process of selling back the departments currently owned and issued Glock Model 45 firearms to the company which is awarded the bid to complete this project. Members of the department will then be given the option to purchase their issued Glock 45 firearm from the company if they choose to do so.
The Southgate Police Department will be available on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 and Monday, January 15th, 2024 between the hours of 7am – 7pm to allow companies the opportunity to view a sample of the current issued Glock model G45 that the department would be selling back as part of the project. Ask to see Lt. Newsted for assistance when you arrive at the police department.
Contract Award
