Summary of Specifications:
The City of Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan, will receive sealed bids until Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 2:30 P.M. for the subject project at the Office of City Clerk, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48311-8009, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install approximately 1,200 tons of bituminous material and 700 l.f. of drive culverts, 940 syd of paved drive approaches and perform other associated work as itemized in the proposal. Plans and specifications will be on file on or after Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Office of the City Clerk of Sterling Heights. A fee of forty-four ($44.00) dollars in the form of a check made payable to the City of Sterling Heights will be required on the project plans and specifications. A Cashier's check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and material, and maintenance and guarantee bonds. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days. No proposal will be received unless made on blanks furnished and delivered to the City Clerk on or before Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 2:30 P.M.
