Summary of Specifications:
The City of Sterling Heights is receiving bids for the Mowing and Maintenance along Van Dyke, Metropolitan Parkway, Mound Road, Schoenherr Road, 19 Mile Road (Mound Road to Ryan Road), 18½ Mile Road, Dodge Park Road, 17 Mile Road, and Ryan Road until Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. The successful bidder must be able to furnish all maintenance, labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform this Contract.The work contemplated by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment to perform all work required for maintenance of turf and shrubbery beds. This work is to be done from the second week in April through the third week in October. Should weather conditions prevent these starting and/or ending dates, adjustment can be made with the approval of the City.All interested and proposed contractors will meet on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the City of Sterling Heights Administration Building, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313, Upper Level, City Council Chambers, to familiarize themselves with the location of the work and specifications. All interested parties are highly recommended to attend this meeting.This bid requires a 5% Bid Bond or cashier's check. If you are also bidding on ITB-SH11-007, you must submit SEPARATE BONDS OR CHECKS for both bids. DO NOT COMBINE bonds/checks or submit both bids in the same envelope.
