RFQ-RM-2020-08-18-001 - CDBG Drainage Repair

The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Drainage Repair. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount shall be required upon execution of the contract and prior to beginning work.

Grade settling along the foundation wall the area shall be excavated to the footing drain for inspection and repair or replacement of suspected drain pipe failure.
 The area should be excavated approximately 3’ feet either side of the existing sink hole to the existing drain pipe along the footing and inspected for cracks or joint separation
 Complete any necessary repair or replacement to the drain pipe be completed and inspected before the area is backfilled.
 Once the repair is completed pea stone should be placed over the drain pipe to a minimum of 12” and then clean fill dirt for the remainder of the hole in 12” lifts and compacted in place.
 The area is to be restored with sod to match the existing grade around the area and provide positive drainage away from the foundation wall.
