The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for CDBG Residential Home Rehab. This is a Federally Funded construction project and is subject to compliance with all applicable Federal Labor Standards, but is exempt from Davis Bacon Act.
The City of Taylor is requesting bids for the rehabilitation of two residential properties located at 7530 Huron Street and 9018 Weddel Street.
The scope of work for 7530 Huron Street includes the removal and replacement of the existing roof with new 30-year dimensional shingles, underlayment, drip edge, ice shield, and bird-proof vents. The project also includes the replacement of any necessary roof sheathing. The existing gutters and downspouts will remain.
The scope of work for 9018 Weddel Street includes the removal and replacement of the existing aluminum siding with new vinyl siding, the replacement of any necessary sheathing, and the repair of existing brickwork at the chimney and front porch. The project also includes the removal and replacement of existing gutters and downspouts to match existing size, profile and color.
Per local policy both a performance and payment bond equivalent to the full value of this contract will ONLY be required (prior to beginning work) if the contract amount exceeds $50,000. Taxes and permit fees DO apply.
