Scope of Work
The work shall consist of supplying and installing chain link fencing, with a pedestrian gate, at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Course as shown on the Plan Sheets 1 and 2, and as specified herein.
Schedule and Completion The work shall be performed according to a mutually agreed upon construction sequence and schedule to be determined at a Pre-Construction meeting held after all contracts and bonds have been submitted. All work shall be completed within fourteen (14) days of the start of work and no later than April 30, 2019.
Fence Specifications
Eight (8) Foot Vinyl Coated Chain Link Fence: The extruded vinyl coated steel chain link fence shall be
eight (8) feet in height and shall be 9 gauge, 2” diamond mesh fabric with knuckle finish both top and
bottom selvages, meeting the requirements for zinc-coated steel fabric of ASTM A 392 (Class 2 coating), or for aluminum coated steel fabric of ASTM A 491. The fabric shall be galvanized after weaving. The extruded vinyl coating shall comply with ASTM F668, Federal Specification RR-F-191/1E Type IV, and AASHTO M-181 Type IV Class A. Coating shall be black.
Intermediate posts shall be nominal 2” diameter, schedule 40 pipe, and spaced 8.0’ center to center. The end posts shall be 2.5” O.D., schedule 40 pipe. All posts shall be pneumatically driven to a minimum depth of forty-two (42) inches.
The tops of all posts shall be fitted with heavy ornamental tops. The top and bottom rail shall be 1 5/8”
O.D., schedule 40 pipe. All posts, rails, braces and other fence appurtenances shall be ot dipped
galvanized with a minimum zinc coating of 2.0 ounces per square foot of surface.
Installation of fencing and pedestrian gate shall be made in a workmanlike manner by skilled personnel
experienced in the erection of this equipment. Fencing and gate shall be erected in a rigid manner, plumb
and true to line without buckles and complete in all details.
There will be a pre-construction meeting prior to the commencement of this contract between the
Contractor and the City’s representative to verify all conditions pertinent to the performance of work in
this Section are acceptable, clarify materials, critical details, schedules, specification intent, and
inspections.
