SCOPE OF WORK
· The City of Taylor is currently soliciting bids for residential curbside refuse, recycling and yard waste
collection (total count of all served units at last billing equaled 19,200 (residential). The successful
contractor will be required to satisfactorily perform all work set forth in the contract documents,
including, but not limited to, the following:
· The use of existing 96/65 gallon carts for automated or semi-automated curbside pickup of refuse to
be performed in a timely, clean and efficient manner.
· The use of existing 95/65 gallon carts for automated or semi-automated curbside pickup of recyclables
to be performed in a timely, clean and efficient manner.
· The curbside pick-up of yard waste (March 1st through December 15th and annual Christmas Tree
Disposal Program) transport and deliver to the City of Taylor Compost site or such other site
designated by the City of Taylor.
· The pre-notification by the contractor to all residents for any changes to program for collection and the
annual distribution of informative and educational literature.
· Solid Waste Disposal collected and transported to City of Riverview Land Preserve pursuant to City of
Taylor’s contract with the City of Riverview. The proper disposal of all appropriate refuses in a qualified
Class II landfill as required by law or other approved disposal facility.
· Recycling program for all city building (carts and pick up provided)
· To provide the services mentioned in a cost effective manner, allowing the City to offer the best and
most complete and cost effective program available to its residents.
