Summary of Specifications:
Perform storm water catch basin cleaning services including the removal, transportation, and disposal of debris and non-potable water from identified catch basins located throughout the City. Debris and sediment shall be removed from grate openings, the catch basin, and catch basin sump. Optional services, only upon request by the City, may include jet cleaning any outlet in a catch basin that is covered by debris up to a maximum of fifty (50) feet.
There are approximately 1,800 catch basins located within the City of Wixom, of which, approximately 200 catch basins shall be cleaned within a year. The City will provide the selected contractor with a map of the storm water system and indicate which structures are to be cleaned. The intent, beyond preventative maintenance of the catch basin cleaning program, is to clean catch basins of debris prior to our West Nile Abatement program.
In fiscal year 2014/15 (ending July 1st 2015) specified services must be performed by July 1st.
Specified services shall take no longer than six (6) months.
The contract shall be for three (3) years with an option to extend for an additional two (2) years.
