Division I includes a 4-inch mill and overlay; adjusting and/or reconstructing drainage structures and manholes; restoration of disturbed lawn areas, as needed. Divisions II includes pavement removal with a new 3-inch section of HMA; the application of a slurry seal on the bridge; adjusting and/or reconstructing drainage structures and manholes; restoration of disturbed lawn areas, as needed. Both Divisions will need to be quoted in order for the overall bid to be considered responsive.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10 a.m., Local Time on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at at Algonac City Center, 805 St. Clair River Drive, Algonac, MI 48001.
Please note that the culvert/bridge on North Ave, east of and near the start of the project at St. Clair River Drive (M-29), has a loading limit of 15 Ton. Access to most of the project is via this bridge. All costs associated with labor, equipment and materials needed to complete the pavement removal as per the plans, including but not limited to any supplemental equipment and/or material purchase or rental, temporary facilities, personnel training, etc. shall be reflected in the bid unit price for “Pavt, Rem, Special”, syd.
