Electronic copies of proposals for the construction of the Water Service Line Material Verification & Lead Service Line Replacement Program will be received by the City of Algonac until 4:00 p.m., Local Time on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, through the BidNet (MITN) site, https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn, at which time the bids will be opened and reviewed.
Plans and specifications will only be available online via BidNet (MITN), https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Hard copies of Plans and Specifications will not be available for purchase. The Bidder is advised that in order to submit a bid on this project, the Bidder must download and complete the Proposal Form (Section 00300) and a scanned copy of their bid deposit with their electronic bid submission. The original bid deposit for the low bidder will be required to be submitted to the City following the bid letting.
Proposals submitted by Bidders who have been debarred, suspended, or made ineligible by any Federal Agency will be rejected.
Each bid proposal shall be submitted electronically on the proposal forms provided and shall be accompanied by a scanned copy of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and Surety Company, payable to the City of Algonac in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the accompanying bid. Proposal Guarantee shall provide assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the City of Algonac. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days. A pdf version of this Bid Deposit must be included with your Electronic Bid Submission Response.
