The City of Belleville (herein the “City”) is seeking a contractor to provide solid waste and recycling services for the City of Belleville.
A proposal must be submitted for consideration. The information submitted in your proposal, including experience, qualifications, and fee schedule, will be reviewed for the purpose of selecting a company to provide solid waste and recycling services for the City of Belleville. Reasonable fees will be a factor in the selection process. However, the company’s experience, qualifications, resources, and level of proposed services will be key factors in the selection of the company to represent the city. Please refer to the instruction sheet for more detailed information on the scope of the proposal.
It is anticipated that the city will select one company to serve as the hauler of solid waste and recycling services for a minimum of a three-year period, with two individual option years. Interviews will be conducted with selected companies before the full City Council at the public meeting outlined above. After the interview process, the Council will designate its choice of company to represent the city, either at the same meeting or no later than the following meeting of the City Council. The City Manager will then negotiate the final contractual arrangement for services with the selected company.
