2.15.2024 - Utility and service bill review

To review individual bills and contracts in detail to ensure each arrangement, billed rate, charges, meter reads, power factors, etc., are accurate for each facility and historical service usage. The utility bill audit will review these in detail, compare them to other regional and nationwide municipalities, and identify areas where the city is being overcharged.
Utility bill audits are a common service in both the public and private sectors. In addition, the city would like also to have a review of engineering bills for compliance. It is expected that an audit will identify areas of overcharges and result in refunds and/or future savings.
