Bids are requested for the City of Grand Rapids and West Michigan Cooperative Agencies for a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options for the purchase and delivery of bulk hydrofluorisilicic acid (HFS), as per the specifications contained herein.
The intent of this bid is for the purchase and delivery of hydrofluorisilicic acid, to be used in the production of potable water during daily plant operations, for the City of Grand Rapids and West Michigan Cooperative Purchase Agencies. Any products proposed shall be available and ready to use, and have an extensive, proven track record of consistent use in other municipal water systems, preferably the United States of America. No product development of any type, shape, or form shall be allowed or accepted by the city over the life of the contract. Product(s) proposed shall conform with AWWA Standard B703-19, ANSI/NSF Standards 60 and 61, or the most recent revision thereof.
Pricing proposed shall be on a liquid ton basis of 23% strength H2SiF6. Pricing proposed shall include all product pricing, delivery, labor, unloading from service vehicle, equipment, materials, and incidentals. No deposits or demurrage of any kind shall be allowed or accepted. The City and Cooperative Agencies desire product manufactured in the United States of America.
