ancer screenings for the City’s Grand Rapids Fire Department shall be on conducted on an annual basis. Requested services shall be performed at one or both of the GRFD Trainings Centers or any other City of Grand Rapids facility determined to be adequate. Approximately 172 employees per year shall participate in the annual screenings. Contractor shall have the capability to offer multiple days for screenings due to Fire and Rescue personnel working rotating schedules.

Screening Services
Services that are the practice of medicine will be provided by an applicably licensed professional employed or engaged with the contractor. Ultrasound screening will include (at a minimum):

Echocardiogram to evaluate valve function and heart pumping ejection fraction
Carotid Doppler to assess blood flow
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
Lower Extremity Arterial Doppler
Thyroid
Complete abdomen (liver, spleen, gallbladder, kidneys)
Urinary Bladder
Pelvic (Women only - external)
Testicular (Men only)
