t is the desire of the City to identify qualified and experienced Contractors to provide utility maintenance and repair services at various locations for the City’s water, sanitary and storm sewer system. The City estimates that services required or needed under this contract will consist of smaller service scope requirements (and not new, full, complete construction services), such as repair and replace services, that may be more conducive to smaller operations when compared to construction companies; it is thought that winter-weather work will be a time of heavy need for services. The work performed by the Contractor shall consist of furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, and material as necessary for completion of the projects as determined by the City’s Project Manager at the time of project initiation. Any Contractor selected for award is required to currently have pre-qualified certification through the City of Grand Rapids Engineer’s Office. Please see https://www.grandrapidsmi.gov/Directory/Guides/Bid-Opportunities-and-Results#section-2 for further information on how to become pre-qualified with the City of Grand Rapids.
