The City of Grosse Pointe Department of Public Works is soliciting pricing estimates for demolition and abatement of a Tax Increment Finance Authority(TIFA)-owned , two-family home, approx.. 3000 sq ft, built in 1920, and located within Grosse Pointe Park. This solicitation is for information only and there is no guarantee that the project will move forward. The environmental assessment has been completed and is available under the documents tab in addition to property related information. Bidders need to utilize the document titled final enviromental assessment for their bid packages.
Demolition bids need to meet the following additional requirements in addition to regular demolition and abatement standards:
- Class 2 sand for backfill. The City will provide engineering for compaction.
- The sewer line needs to be shut down at the alley and the water service needs to be killed at the main
- Six foot fencing with screening needs to be erected around the demolition site before the project can begin.
Interested parties who would like to tour the property can set up an appointment with the contacts. Any bids that do not include pricing for the demolition and the abatement will not be considered.
