INTRODUCTION
The City of Holland (City) and Holland Board of Public Works (BPW) are requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Insurance Agencies to become the Agent of Record for the City and BPW Property and Casualty Insurance programs, effective July 1, 2022.
The BPW is a Department of the City operating with its own Administrative Team and Board appointed by the City Council. All assets of the BPW are owned by the City and all contracts are approved by the City Council. To ensure no coverage gaps or duplication of coverage, the insurance program is marketed as a single plan with premiums allocated to each entity. Any references in this document to the City of Holland, is intended to include both the BPW and City.
The City of Holland officially distributes RFQ documents through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) website https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn/cityofholland and through the Bids and RFPs page on the City’s website www.cityofholland.com.
Qualification statements may be submitted electronically via the MITN website or by delivering a hard-copy submission to the City no later than 11 a.m. on December 10, 2021. Respondents accept all risks of late delivery of mailed proposals, regardless of fault. Submittals arriving after the deadline will not be considered. Hard-copy proposals must be clearly marked “Insurance Services Request for Qualifications” and mailed or delivered to:

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submittals, to waive any information or irregularities in any submittal, and to cancel or revise this request. This RFQ does not obligate the City to pay any costs incurred by any respondent in the preparation of a Statement of Qualification.
