Summary of Specifications:
Livingston County on behalf of the Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch/Emergency Management Department and Livingston County Information Technology Department is seeking proposals for a variety of activities at an existing tower site. This will include: · Stripping the existing tower and replacing these items with new antennas and hard-line coax · Proper tower grounding, painting, lighting and general tower maintenance · Removal and replacement of the radio shelter, fencing, and reinstallation of an existing public safety voice and data radio communications system · Installation of emergency power generator and UPS systems · Road and general tower site preparation work The proposed site includes an existing tower, two old radio shelters and security fence. It is anticipated that all new construction will occur on county property, with no need for land acquisition. The current fuel source for the emergency generator is propane and is currently on the site. The current propane tanks may need to be replaced and/or moved. The total timeline of the completed radio system upgrade shall be implemented by DECEMBER 15, 2005. The Livingston County proposal is a complete "turn key" solution, including all phases of planning, permitting, civil work, site development, site preparation, coordination of utilities as needed, construction, guide wire and site fencing, site restoration, RF compatibility study of added and current frequencies, optimum antenna placement, EME studies and required signing. The vendor shall act as general contractor, and will be responsible for the activities of all subcontractors. The vendor shall work with the Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch/Emergency Management Department to satisfy their tower site requirements. The vendor shall also work with the Livingston County Information Technology Department and their vendor to satisfy their tower site requirements. Vendors may also submit optional proposals for ongoing site management services.
