Summary of Specifications:
Livingston County is seeking vendor(s) who are willing to partner with the Livingston County Sheriff Department (LCSD) - Jail Division, to develop a medically responsive onsite and offsite program with emphasis and focus on a COST SAVINGS PROGRAM to help reduce the inmate health care cost.
Livingston County is interested in a Cost Containment, Cost Sharing approach. As a part of the proposal process, we are seeking guidance from our prospective vendors to provide expertise and proven strategies for implementing and operating a prudent, cost savings program - oriented inmate health care program that is in compliance with the requirements of Michigan Department of Corrections, State Statutes, and any Local Laws.
We encourage vendors to supply an alternate detailed proposal which has proven strategies for reducing the overall health care cost for the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.
The selected vendor(s) will collaborate with the Livingston County Sheriff Department - Jail Division in the development, maintenance and annual review of administrative and operational policies and procedures relative to medical care. The County reserves the right to approve policies and procedures of the vendor. The policies and procedures shall be designed to meet National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and American Correctional Association (ACA) guidelines and State of Michigan Statutes. Current medical policies are found in an attachment to this RFP.
