RFP-LC-19-07 - Renovation Needs Assessment for Livignston County Sheriff's Office Building

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) plans to improve the facilities located on the West Campus at 150 South Highlander Way in Howell, Michigan.  The County is accepting proposals for the first phase of the project, which is a Needs Assessment. 

Livingston County is seeking consultant services from qualified criminal justice planning and/or design consulting firms that possess knowledge, skills, and experience in conducting a comprehensive assessment to analyze current conditions of LCSO Field Services Division.  This area includes reception, central records, staff offices, evidence storage, investigative services, a shift-brief area, and conference room/ training space.  Our focus is to enhance operational efficiency and to ensure the safety and security for staff and citizens.  

The services requested include a needs assessment, evaluation of existing facilities and identification of facility requirements on a current and projected basis.  This can include the development of alternative options for meeting defined needs to the current facility and the evaluation of which strategy will deliver the most cost-effective result.  The needs of the County and planned use of the facilities will be used to structure and inform the solution-finding process in advance of the architectural and construction phase activities which will follow in subsequent phases.

Assistance may also be required during the project design phases where the project requirements have been defined and the focus is upon the translation of these identified needs into their architectural, engineering and specialized systems requirements.
