37-21-135 - Designated Assessor

The County of Wayne is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to serve as Wayne County’s Designated Assessor as required by Public Act 660 of 2018. Such qualified contractor shall be certified as a Michigan Master Assessing Officer and shall act as Designated Assessor only when an Assessing District is in substantial non-compliance with Audit of Minimum Assessing Requirements (AMAR) and a corrective action plan is not accepted or approved upon a follow up review. The Designated Assessor shall be responsible for preparing and transmitting to an Assessing District’s supervisor, manager, or chief executive a detailed proposal, including a schedule for delivery of documents and execution of forms to correct deficiencies identified by the State Tax Commission’s AMAR.
