IFB-37-15-043 - Elizabeth Park Shoreline Restoration and Greenway Project

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Wayne is requesting bids for Shoreline Restoration and construction of a Greenway within Wayne County's historic 162-acre Elizabeth Park located on the lower Detroit River in Trenton, Michigan. The proposed Greenway is a 10 ft. wide paved pathway beginning at Grosse Ile Parkway and meandering along the canal’s 4,000 ft. western shoreline to the Park entrance. As part of the Greenway portion of this project there are site improvements at the Tourist Lodge, including a parking lot and site amenities that will serve as one of the trailheads for the proposed Greenway. The second portion of this project is Shoreline Stabilization that includes the removal of invasive plant species and replanting with native plants. In addition, five (5) designated fishing platforms and an ADA kayak launch are also proposed as part of this project.
