IFB-37-14-003 - JEFFERSON, W. BASCULE BRIDGE REPAIR PROJECT PHASE 1

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Wayne is requesting bids for construction services on the Jefferson, W. Bascule Bridge over the Rouge River; to shore the stringers in the abutment span; to tether with wire rope the north leaf near the trunion bearings to the concrete floor; to tether the raised leaf from approximately 57 feet above the pavement to an anchoring system 85 feet away from the bridge; to sheet pile and tremie seal the water leak due to the underwater crack in the concrete pit wall; and repair the cracks in the concrete with epoxy sealer; brace the concrete counterweight to the pit walls; this bridge is on the borderline of the Cities of Detroit and River Rouge.
