Summary of Specifications:
the Charter County of Wayne (County) hereby invites businesses who meet the qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit bids for construction of renovations to the Secondary and Headworks Systems of Wayne County’s Downriver Wastewater Treatment Facility (DWTF). Renovations include demolition, civil/site, structural, architectural, process mechanical, H&V mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control and SCADA work.
Demolition work includes removal of paving, architectural work, mechanical equipment, piping and valves, electrical and control equipment, conduit and wires and other demolition work.
Civil/site work include a new vactor receiving station, yard drainage piping, live pipe taps, concrete paving, tree re-location and miscellaneous site improvements.
Structural work includes grouting, crack injection, cast-in-place concrete slabs and walls, and surface repairs and other related work.
Architectural work includes new doors, windows, roofs, railing, RFP grating, laboratory cabinets and equipment and other related work.
Process / Mechanical work includes new plug valves, slide gates, ductile iron piping, fine screens, grit collection equipment, Serpentix conveyors, pump rehabilitation, blowers and piping and valves and other related work.
H&V mechanical includes new air handling units, electric unit heaters, ventilation fans and other related work.
Electrical work includes new MCCs, VFDs, conduit and wire, and other related work.
Instrumentation and control and SCADA work includes new level devices, controls, programming, SCADA screen development and other related work.
This is a federally funded contract thus all work involving the employment of laborers and mechanics shall comply with the provisions of the Davis Bacon Act, the Agreement Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act as applicable. In addition, equipment, products and materials must comply with the Buy American Iron and Steel requirements.
