37-20-059 - Underwater Bridge Inspection

Description: The County of Wayne is requesting proposals to perform As-Needed Routine Bridge Inspections for Wayne County (WC) owned bridges in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). 
23 CFR 650.313 (e)(2) each Wayne County owned with submerged substructure elements that cannot be checked by wading or boat and probe methods must be inspected by a qualified diver at a frequency of 60 months or less.  Bridges requiring underwater inspections must have the underwater inspection procedures document in the bridge file and the structures identified as needing a diver must be inspected according to those procedures.
