DWS - 935A – GSI Maintenance & Restoration – As Needed in the City of Detroit
The work consists of furnishing all material, equipment, and labor necessary to perform maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) projects for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD).
The work includes routine and as-needed inspection and maintenance of gray infrastructure assets connected to DWSD GSI assets across the City of Detroit. The work also includes cleaning of permeable paver areas and repair of damaged hardscape adjacent to GSI.
The contactor will perform inspection of GSI assets including underdrain, inlets, water quality units, spillways, outlet control structures, and pavers. The Contractor will perform scheduled and as-needed maintenance that includes cleanout of trench drains, inlets and underdrains, removal and disposal of trash, litter, and debris, removal of debris from overflow structure and refill with aggregate, erosion repair, riprap adjustment, and permeable pavers maintenance and repair.
The work will be located at the DWSD green stormwater infrastructure project sites. The GSI project site locations, specific maintenance work that is to be performed, and the frequency at which the tasks shall be performed is defined in the “Detroit Water and Sewerage Department Municipal Stormwater Maintenance Manual.”
