The Project for DWSD RFB DWS-964 includes the following Work:
1. The cleaning of, and removal of foreign material from, approximately 168,576 LF of sewers in order to be able to conduct a NASSCO compliant inspection.
2. The NASSCO-compliant inspection of approximately 306,982 LF of sewers using internal video and multisensory equipment for the purposes of recording structural and service defects.
3. The inspection of approximately 849 manholes using side scanning imagery and point cloud collection equipment to NASSCO Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP) Level 2
inspections for the purposes of recording structural and service defects.
4. The as-needed removal and replacement of existing privately-owned facilities (e.g., fences, gates, landscaping, and paved areas) that prevent access to City of Detroit assets (i.e., manholes).
5. The cleaning and inspection of 1,273 catch basins, and the removal and vacuuming of dirt/debris and sludge. Catch basins in MDOT ROW (e.g. I-75, M-10, M-12, etc.) are not to be inspected
however any catch basins in DWSD's jurisdiction not mapped but discovered in the field adjacent to the pipes identified for inspection are to be inspected.
6. The dye testing of approximately 123 sinkholes.
7. The GPS surveying of approximately 849 manholes, 1,273 catch basins, and hydrants and mainline valves.
8. The raising to grade of approximately 87 manholes, as needed.
9. Any work adjacent to any Wayne County and MDOT road jurisdictions shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Wayne County and MDOT Authorities respectively.
The Project has an expected duration of 730 calendar days.
