Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), hereby invites businesses who meet the qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit proposals to qualifications and specifications set forth herein to submit proposals for the purpose of expanding DWIHN's network to provide independent comprehensive initial diagnostic evaluations and/or clinically appropriate comprehensive diagnostic re-evaluation for the purpose of identifying impairments, disorders and/or ruling out Autism Spectrum Disorders in children ages 0 to 21 years in Wayne County. Diagnostic evaluations are performed by a qualified licensed practitioner working within their scope of practice and who is qualified and experienced in diagnosing ASD such as a physician with a subspecialty, a psychologist who is fully-licensed, limited-licensed or temporary limited licensed by the State of Michigan (MCL 333.182 et seq.), an advanced practice registered nurse with subspecialty, a physician assistant with a subspecialty, or a clinical social worker. Medical necessity and recommendation for Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) services will be determined following the independent assessment by a physician or another licensed practitioner working with their scope of practice under state law.
