Description

The Downriver Utility Wastewater Authority (DUWA) is requesting proposals for the purpose of entering into a contract with a qualified consulting firm to serve as DUWA's System Manager to oversee the Downriver Sewage Disposal System (DSDS). The System Manager will have the overall responsibility for managing and administering the DSDS, including oversight of the Contract Operator and other consultants hired by DUWA. The DSDS consists of a wastewater treatment plant located in Wyandotte, MI and approximately 63 miles of sanitary sewer interceptor pipe, including a wet weather relief tunnel, that conveys wastewater from 13 tributary communities.
