EC-02-2022#01 - IP TELEPHONY SERVICES

Emmet County is soliciting proposals from suppliers of telephone equipment and systems to assist the County in the replacement of its currently outdated phone system. The scope of this RFP is for Emmet County’s locations listed later in this document.  Emmet County is in the northern most part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The population was 34,112 at the 2020 census. The county seat is in Petoskey.
Abilita has been contracted by Emmet County to assist in the requirements definition and bid assessment process for selecting a new telephony system. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is intended to provide a standard base from which to evaluate alternatives for the new system and services. We encourage bidders to supplement their response with any information, including alternative system design, optional features and additional functionality they deem relevant and which may not have been requested in the other sections of our standard format.
Emmet County’s current phone system is primarily a Toshiba PBX (with a Mitel 250 at EMS #1) with approximately 300 handsets and Voice Mail. The phone systems have exceeded their lifespan and repair issues to support the County’s needs.
